How long will it take to get my survey?
Most jobs will take 2-3 weeks to complete. You will receive an estimate when we send you a proposed contract. Note that there is a significant amount of office work to complete after the field work has been finished.
Why do I need a Corner Record/Record of Survey?
Most surveys are not valid until recorded with the County. By state law, a corner record or record of survey must be filed within 90 days of the date of survey. Any permanent monument that is set must be recorded with a document like a corner record or record of survey. Cheap or unlicensed surveyors may illegally perform surveys without recording their work. Unfortunately, lawsuits are common in land development and an unrecorded survey, particularly by an unlicensed surveyor, is meaningless in a court of law. Furthermore, licensed surveyors who fail to submit corner records may have their license suspended or revoked. To avoid having your survey invalidated and your time and money wasted, always hire a licensed surveyor who meets the appropriate documentation requirements for every job.
